The Mulberry River is a tributary of the Arkansas River. It is located in the Ozark National Forest, in Newton County, AR. The river is 70 miles long and offers about 40 miles of good floating. The current river level is determined by rainfall, so the river is typically floatable in the spring months. Gradient levels range from 11′ to 16′, depending on what part of the river you choose to float. The Mulberry offers class I – III rapids depending of water level, so please check water levels before heading out to float.
